Kimberly Stephens-CMT

“If anything is sacred, the human body is sacred.”~Walt Whitman

This quote is the basis for my practice and with my help, as your massage therapist, I hope it will become your mantra for life. Hi, I am Kimberly Stephens and I would love to be your massage therapist. My goal and passion in life is to help facilitate whole, balanced, and healthy people with my bodywork. All the while encouraging a more holistic lifestyle with proper diet, meditation, and exercise.

I am a graduate of a 9 month intensive program at Everest Institute with over 720 hours of clinical experience under my belt and I am certified under MBLEX, one of the leading massage therapy certifications in the U.S. I have worked in a chiropractic setting which helped me learn more about the body’s anatomy and kinesiology as well as in-home setting which allowed me more freedom in the types of bodywork I wanted to perform. I specialize in Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release and Neuromuscular Therapy which helps the body realign and any trigger points dissolve.

I love the idea of continuing my education to better help with your needs so I am currently studying other modalities and the life practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, Sports Massage, Rain Drop Therapy and Hot Stone Therapy to just name a few.

I am continuously studying and implementing any and all knowledge I can find on the modalities I perform and any future modalities I hope to incorporate into my practice. I reside in Kalamazoo, my hometown, and love to explore its many outdoor activities and its college atmosphere. I also love to go to the West Coast and Colorado to hike, snowshoe, and work on my hidden talent of hula hooping. In addition to all my activities I coach a local sports team in Portage and Watervielt and instruct dance within those cities.

Nature’s Dance and I kind of stumbled into each other in a time that a breathe of fresh air was needed. I have fallen in love with the space and its current residences and hope to grow tremendously in my time with Nature’s Dance. Just remember your body is sacred so come and experience all that I and Nature’s Dance has to offer, because we will only treat it as such.
